In tonight’s edition: four people are killed in Togo amid violence in the city of Sokode; pressure mounts on Ugandan police to find a serial killer; and the hit tragi-comedy “Jihad” takes to the stage in Morocco.
In Togo, four people are killed amid violence in the city of Sokode and the ruling party headquarters are torched in the capital Lome. The latest unrest was sparked by the arrest of an imam close to the main opposition leader, Tikpi Atchadam.
Also, pressure mounts on Ugandan police to find a serial killer who’s been raping and murdering women in and around the capital. Our correspondents report from Kampala.
And after success in Belgium, France and the Netherlands, the hit tragi-comedy “Jihad” takes to the stage in Morocco. Critics have hailed the play, which shines a comic light on radicalisation, as “gutsy”.
