Bushfire tickets are sold out!

Bushfire tickets are sold out!

If you’re still thinking of going and haven’t got your ticket (or didn’t win one in Music In Africa’s recent competition), the organisers have some bad news: tickets are almost all sold out! Because of this, no tickets will be sold at the festival gate and tickets are no longer available online.

The few remaining main arena tickets (for Friday, Sunday or the full festival) are the only options still available to purchase – while stocks last. These can now only be purchased from the MTN store at Shak’s Gables and the All Out Africa Internet Café in Malkerns. Festival organisers are urging people to buy their tickets as soon as possible to avoid disapointment. Only people with valid tickets purchased in advance will be able to access the festival.

Jiggs Thorne, MTN Bushfire Festival Director, said: “We are thrilled that this year’s line-up has been so warmly received by the people of Swaziland. It’s great to see lots of people have booked early to avoid missing out what is set to be another spectacular weekend. However, with the festival so close we would strongly encourage people wishing to come, who haven’t yet purchased tickets, do so today while stocks last.”

This year’s MTN Bushfire boasts in incredible line-up of local, regional and international talent, including Grammy-winning Sweet Honey in the Rock (USA), Les Nubians (France), 123 (Turkey), Cassper Nyovest (SA), the Stelth Ulvang Trio (UK/SA), Amandla Freedom Ensemble (SA), Banda Kakana (Mozambique), BDI (South Africa), BCUC (South Africa), Black Jesus Experience (Australia), Bongeziwe Mabandla (SA), Culoe de Song (SA), Freshlyground (SA), Haja Madagascar & the Groovy People (Madagascar/Congo/Mozambique/Swaziland), Jaojoby (Madagascar), Joana Serrat (Spain), The Parlotones (SA), Poni Hoax (France), Safeguard Young People Project (SA), Shortstraw (SA), Sweet Sweet Moon (Austria), Tonik and Friends (South Africa/Swaziland), Transito (Mozambique/USA/France), True Vibenation (Zim/Australia), The Soil (SA), Swazi DJs, DJ Danger Ingozi (SA), DJ InviZable & the Champions of the Sonarverse (SA), DJ Okapi (SA) and local Swazi talent in the form of Tlale Makhene, Nomsa M, Bashayi Bengoma Ensemble, Continental Drift, Ras Reggie & Ras Ritchie Project, OutCry and Ghetto Villa.

Besides the music there will also be a host of other activities on offer. For more information check out the Bushfire website.
