South Africa have shed the tag of ‘chokers’ and continued their unbeaten run in ICC T20 World Cup 2024. Aiden Markram and his men are in the semifinals and become the second team to enter the last four after England. The bowlers set up this win for South Africa with Tabraiz Shamsi taking three wickets in his four overs. South Africa find a way to win and they will look forward to the semifinals now. West Indies on the other hand, had an impressive outing in a T20 World Cup where they would have expected to go deeper. Their batting was far from the best and fielding too was not too good. Rain did play a part and the target was revised but South Africa did not lose control of the game despite losing wickets. All eyes on Group 1 now with India, Australia and Afghanistan all in fray for making the semis!

Gudakesh Motie was introduced into the attack and he bowled a 20-run over. This has clearly shifted the momentum in favour of South Africa and West Indies now need wickets to have a shot at making a comeback into this contest.

Quinton de Kock and Reeza Hendricks have started on a high for South Africa. De Kock smashed three fours in the first over bowled by Akeal Hosein. West Indies will need to apply more pressure and take few early wickets to have a shot at defending this total.
South Africa have restricted West Indies to just 135/8 which is a below-par total on this ground. West Indies did not have any partnership, barring one between Roston Chase and Kyle Mayers, which yielded 81 runs as South Africa kept taking wickets at regular intervals. Tabraiz Shamsi and Keshav Maharaj were impressive for South Africa. But will this total prove to be enough? Stay tuned to find out!
