Cheval Blanc Seychelles will open in the heart of the Indian Ocean in autumn 2024.
Home concept
Along the southwestern coast of Mahé Island, Anse Intendance beach will soon be home to the sixth Cheval Blanc ‘maison’. Conceived as a ‘home’, the newest property was designed by architect Jean-Michel Gathy as an ode to creole traditions and paying homage to its natural surroundings.
The maison will offer 52 villas spanning 220 to 1,950 sq m, each with a private swimming pool and beachfront, hillside or tropical jungle views.
Five for dining
Five dining venues will be available onsite, including Mizumi, an Asian restaurant; Vivamento, an Italian eatery; and Sula, a Mediterranean beach club by the ocean.
Also here are the brand’s signature concepts: Le 1947, a French gastronomic restaurant, and Le White, with a cosmopolitan atmosphere.
Leisure time
The Seychelles maison will also offer a collection of Guerlain well-being rituals at the Spa Cheval Blanc, a pool, a fitness room,a surf simulator and two tennis and padel courts.
Youngest guests are invited to discover the Carrousel, a haven for little pirates in search of adventure and discovering nature.
Artistic site
Cheval Blanc Seychelles will give pride of place to artists, with special pieces made specifically for this location. Upon arrival, guests are greeted by the Centauresse sculpture by Prune Nourry, which rises from a pond among the banyan trees.
On the walls of each villa, works by the Madagascan artist Joël Andrianomearisoa are inspired by nature. Plus with a nod to Italian influences, young ceramist Maximilien Pellet celebrates Etruscan banquets in a glazed ceramic fresco over the bar at Vivamento.
Italian Blanc
Already in the pipeline for LVMH is a pair of luxury Italian properties on Sardinia’s Costa Smeralda. The firm will rebrand what is now called Hotel Romazzino under the Belmond line. The site will be known as Romazzino, A Belmond Hotel, Costa Smeralda, when it opens for the 2024 season.
The other property is Hotel Pitrizza, which will be managed by Cheval Blanc. The hotel will continue to operate under its current name until 2026, when it will be rebranded as Cheval Blanc Pitrizza, Costa Smeralda.
