Faye Outlines Priorities For Senegal After 100 Days

President Bassirou Diomaye Faye has been taking stock of activities his administration must pursue during his time in office. In an interview over the weekend to mark 100 in office, the president announced that natural resource contracts will be renegotiation. “There are things that are contested, in particular on the costs invested…” he said.

The President stressed the need to ensure full adherence to tax payment, and “that they go to the population as the law provides”. He also outlined as a priority his intention to bring down the prices of basic commodities, because it is “an action that interests the population the most”.
