A suspected kenyan serial killer claims to have mutilated and murdered dozens of women over just a couple of years. Collins Khalusa was arrested whilst watching the Euro finals and after nine women’s bodies were found dumped in a Nairobi quarry.

Also, ballot papers are counted for Rwanda’s general election but there are unlikely to be any surprises as president Paul Kagame is all but guaranteed to be returned by a landslide for a fourth term. He’s credited with both rebuilding the post genocide nation and ruthlessly silencing critics. 

Finally, Women’s rights campaigners have celebrated Gambian parliament’s rejection of a bill that would allowed legal Female Genital Mutilation.The practice has been banned since 2015 but the lawmaker who launched the proposal said he was upholding Gambian culture, even though many locals refuted his argument.
