The US Department of Commerce has said that it has signed a new Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Trade and Investment in a move to assist the country in job creation.
The US Department of Commerce made the disclosure in a press release published on its website, seen by THE WHISTLER.
The U.S Department of Commerce said the MoU would help both countries work to strengthen commercial ties.
The US government said the MoU entered with the Ministry of Investment, Trade, and Industry and Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy outlines new avenues of commercial cooperation and affirming shared priorities on the digital economy.
The U.S. Secretary of Commerce, Gina Raimond said, “With the largest population and largest democracy in Africa, Nigeria is an essential partner for the United States,.
“At the U.S. Department of Commerce, we are committed to working hand-in-hand with our Nigerian Government colleagues to foster deeper commercial cooperation that helps promote inclusive economic growth, fosters innovation, and creates jobs in both our countries.”
