Heritage Le Telfair Golf & Wellness Resort Hotel Review, Mauritius

Anticipate good, friendly and helpful service. A 24-hour butler-style service now comes with every room – with a resident host on a bicycle for speed. There are two pools – one heated in winter – along with access to six others across Heritage Resorts, and non-motorised watersports, including its own kitesurfing school, padel tennis, and weekly cooking and flower arranging classes (with a supplement). Other activities include sunset yoga and forest bathing, walking safaris, quad biking and mountain biking in the Bel Ombre Nature Reserve, and twice weekly electro-bike rides along the south coast. An on-site World of Seashells museum has the largest collection on the African continent, and there’s multi award-winning golf on two courses.

The 18-hole Le Château Golf Course, was named the best in the Indian Ocean for the ninth time at the World Golf Awards 2023. A second, private, championship golf course, La Réserve Golf Links, was designed by Peter Matkovich and Louis Oosthuizen. It opened in December 2023 and has panoramic ocean views from every hole. A helipad and two luxury cars cater for tailormade excursions.

The sensual chakra-balancing spa, housed in a wellness pavilion, has good-value packages with customised wellness journeys and complimentary wellbeing classes from Pilates and yin yoga, to tai chi and body balance sessions.
