Pope Francis has appointed Archbishop Henryk Mieczysław Jagodziński, titular Archbishop of Limosano, Apostolic Nuncio to South Africa, Lesotho, Namibia and Eswatini, as Apostolic Nuncio to Botswana – the Holy See Press Office announced on 20 August 2024.
The Holy Father has appointed Archbishop Jagodziński as his representative in Namibia and Eswatini on 19 July 2024. On 16 April this year, Pope Francis appointed him as Apostolic Nuncio to South Africa and Lesotho. He was previously the papal representative in Ghana.
