Indonesia almost found the equalizer after keeper Hasan left the goal open as he punched the ball out. An Indonesia player tried to head it into the empty net but it was blocked by the defense of Iraq. After this play, the referee also blew the final whistle and Iraq players had an emotional celebration as they have qualified for the Paris Olympics. Indonesia will have another chance to qualify next week in a playoff with Africa’s Guinea.
