According to his family, his phone had been taken, and he had been subjected to physical torture. Threats are being made against him related to a case involving alleged financial embezzlement.

The man had emailed his brother a video clip, showing clear injury marks on his body.

The father said that his son was interviewed by the company in October 2021 and a few days later he was informed about his selection by the company as an accountant.

Air tickets and a one-month visa were sent to him by the company, the man’s father stated.

He said that he talked to his son several times while he was in Guinea but suddenly, after June 25, 2023, the calls stopped. Then on August 12, 2023, a call came from an unknown number, during which, he heard his son crying.

He said that the company had taken him hostage and his phone has been snatched. He was being beaten up, and they were threatening to implicate him in a case.

For the past six months, the family has been desperately searching for their son with no success. They hope that the government’s intervention will help bring their son back home.
