In an interview with The Point, Keita Saidy, president of the Sukabeh Fulbeh Tabital Pulaaku Youth Wing-The Gambia, said their plans after the inauguration is to embark on a nationwide tour to establish sub-committees in each region that would oversee and mobilise the youth on their behalf.

“We need to get together from time to time as we call it a family union and to teach and inculcate togetherness and cultural values among our young people. A lot of our young people are going off the way because the norms and values our parents inducted in us are losing as we are so busy with a lot of other things in life.”

For his part, Abdoulie Jallow, Secretary General of the youth wing, emphasised that the youth wing represents the welfare of all the Fulas in the country, irrespective of party affiliations.
