A video shared by the Office of the Ethiopian head of Government on its X account shows his arrival in the South Korean capital and his welcome by local authorities.
Representatives from 48 African countries will take part in the summit, chaired by President Yoon Suk Yeol, and according to the first deputy director of the South Korean National Security Office, Kim Tae Hyo, they will be represented by heads of Government, kings and presidents.
Kim Tae Hyo confirmed last Thursday that 25 African leaders will hold bilateral meetings with President Yoon Suk Yeol.
The Korea-Africa Business Summit 2024, coordinated by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and the Korea International Trade Association (KITA), will take place on June 5, he added.
Kim Tae Hyo noted that the Korea-Africa Summit is the largest multilateral meeting of the current administration and the first summit hosted by Seoul with African countries.
