In Congo, the Ministry of Forest Economy and the Ministry of Cultural, Tourist, Artistic and Leisure Industry are organizing a succession of procedures all over the US to rejoice Odzala-Kokoua National Park – which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site well-known for its unique biodiversity.
This multi-city undertaking series, starting in Los Angeles and then spreading to Dallas, New York, and Washington D.C. from May 2 to May 13, this year, emphasizes the park’s importance as a worldwide eco-tourism attraction.
One of the first parks of Africa, Odzala-Kokoua has an area of around 3.35 million acres and is an important preservation area in Central Africa. It offers exceptional ecologies and a refuge for more than 120 mammal types, 463 species of birds along with a horde of rare flora and fauna. The future happenings are intended to emphasize the park’s environmental and socio-economic rewards while finding prospects for sustainable tourism and carbon credit ingenuities.
The Minister of Forest Economy of the Republic of Congo, Honorable Rosalie Matondo, said that Odzala-Kokoua is not just a refuge for biodiversity but also an important source of sustainable development. With the help of this event series, they target exhibiting the park’s worldwide importance and the advances that they are creating in upkeep and eco-tourism.
The Minister of Cultural, Tourist, Artistic and Leisure Industries of the Republic of Congo, Honorable Marie-France Lydie Hélène Pongault, said that this drive exhibits how eco-tourism not only propels financial growth but also shields their valuable natural inheritance. The minister said that they invite everybody, particularly from the US, to explore the spectacular loveliness and enormous prospects that Odzala-Kokoua offers.
