Peter Sanyang, deputy principal for Agape Preparatory School in receiving the materials explained that he met Kebba Banja, president of AGA Gambia at another school were the charity donated school materials to them and told him that his school also needed some school materials for their children.
“Mr Banja asked me to write a letter to them and when I wrote the letter, within a few days the materials arrived at our school safely,” he said.
“We really appreciate the assistance and therefore thank you for your generosity,” he added.
He assured donors that the materials will be used for their intended purpose.
Altogether Giving Africa (AGA) Gambia team members recently drove approximately153 kilometres to visit a village (Bambako) in Kiang to give donations provided by AGA UK community. The donated items included several cartons of clothes, shoes, among other materials.

Over the years, the charity trust has supported a number of sectors in the country, from education to health sectors as well as the less privileged. It is committed to benefiting the public and working towards sustainable development and growth.
In July this year, it raised funds to support the restoration and strengthening of a family’s home in Bafuloto after it was destroyed by torrential rain.
