SCULPTED PORTRAITS FROM ANCIENT EGYPT
Sculpted Portraits explores revival and renewal during Egypt’s Twenty-sixth Dynasty, through a series of sculpted portraits of court officials and priests, created for display in tombs and temples. The artefacts at the exhibition are on special loan from the British Museum.

ANCIENT EGYPT: OBSESSED WITH LIFE
Examining ancient Egyptian perceptions of the afterlife, this exhibition follows the journey of the deceased from mummy to eternity. Visitors will be able to smell the newly recreated ancient embalming fragrance, ‘The Scent of Eternity’.

AFRICA & BYZANTIUM
An exhibition exploring the tradition of Byzantine art and culture in North Africa, Egypt, Nubia, Ethiopia, and other powerful African kingdoms, from the 4th to the 15th century AD and beyond. On display are more than 180 masterworks in mosaic, sculpture, pottery, metalwork, painting, and manuscript form.

IMMERSIVE EXHIBITIONS
• HORIZON OF KHUFU: JOURNEY IN ANCIENT EGYPT
An immersive expedition to visit the Great Pyramid of Giza and explore spaces previously closed to the public, followed by a trip 4,500 years back in time to attend the funeral of King Khufu. The experience is based on research by the Giza Project at Harvard University.

• TUTANKHAMUN: THE IMMERSIVE EXPERIENCE
An immersive digital multimedia experience exploring Tutankhamun and his tomb, accompanied by the real voice of Howard Carter. The exhibition includes an augmented-reality experience of the tomb, and an interactive experience room focusing on hieroglyphs and original-sized treasures.
