With the first nine entertaining episodes of ‘The Ultimatum SA‘ wrapped up, all eyes are now on the final episode – the reunion. This Netflix reality show, a spin-off of the global hit social experiment, “The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On,” has made its mark on South African shores.
In these nine episodes, viewers witnessed the drama unfold among the six couples. From Nolla, who exited the show after betraying his partner Lebo, to the controversial couple Khanya and Nkateko, whose relationship took an unexpected turn when Nkateko revealed he wasn’t ready for marriage, leaving Khanya in a difficult position.
Other couples like Ruth and Isaac decided to part ways, while Courtney and Aiden, Thabi and Genesis, and Sizakele and Lindile took the leap and tied the knot.
Hosted by the dynamic South African power couple, Salamina Mosese and Howza Mosese, the series explores themes of trust, true love, desire, and honesty. In a non-traditional dating show format, ‘The Ultimatum South Africa’ challenges couples to confront their fears and desires regarding marriage.
During the experiment, the couples navigate breakups, date their co-stars, and ultimately choose one person to enter into a trial marriage with. This puts their love lives to the test as new relationships form and old ones hang by a thread. Following the trial marriage, couples have the opportunity to enter into a second trial marriage with their original partner, where they must decide if they’re truly committed for the long haul.
Now, viewers are eagerly anticipating the final reunion episode, set to release on Friday, 24 May on Netflix. It promises to bring closure to the journeys of these couples and reveal the ultimate outcomes of their relationships.
